The problem

How we fixed it
- 01Pressure-isolated the service line and used acoustic locating to narrow the leak to a 10-foot window.
- 02Excavated one small pit, confirmed a split in the old poly line.
- 03Pulled in a new continuous PE line rather than patching brittle pipe that would fail again.
- 04Pressure-tested, disinfected the line and restored the pasture.
The result
One hole instead of a 300-foot trench, full pressure restored at the house, and the water bill back to normal the next cycle.
