50-Gallon Gas Water Heater Converted to Tankless in Rogers
The project
The home previously relied on a traditional 50-gallon natural gas storage-tank water heater. The homeowner chose to upgrade the system to a tankless water heater.
How we completed it
- 01Evaluated the existing 50-gallon natural gas water-heater installation.
- 02Disconnected and removed the existing tank-style water heater.
- 03Installed the new natural gas tankless water heater.
- 04Completed the necessary water, gas, venting, and drainage connections required for the new system.
- 05Installed a whole-home sediment/carbon filter tied onto the water main feeding the home, so both the home's water and the new tankless unit are fed filtered water.
- 06Tested the completed installation for proper operation and leaks.
The result
The Rogers home now has a professionally installed natural gas tankless water heater in place of the previous 50-gallon storage-tank unit, with a whole-home sediment/carbon filter protecting the home's water and the new tankless system.
